Gura Humorului is a town located in northern Romania, in Suceava County in southern Bukovina. The town administers one village, Voronet, the site of Voronet Monstery. There are daily flights to the International Airport of Suceava from Bucharest and many European countries. Regular train itineraries connect the area with Bucharest.
Gura Humorrului is in southern Bukovina and is very close to the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina, which are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. The scenery around Gura Humorului is very beautiful. Voronet Monastery is known for its striking blue color and the depiction of Heaven and Hell. Humor Monastery (Manastirea Humorului) has an impressive guard tower which can be scaled for a nice view.
