Soccer in Southern CA

Soccer is quickly becoming a popular sport in the United States and you can watch Major League Soccer games across Southern California during your trip. California is home to 20 teams, including the Galaxy of Los Angeles and the Earthquakes of San Jose. When you’re heading to Los Angeles, catch an LA Galaxy soccer game at the Home Depot Center during the fall months. You’ll get to watch the Galaxy team fight for their spot in another championship and enjoy state-of-the-art amenities at the stadium.

If you’re in San Jose, head to Buck Shaw Stadium to watch the San Jose Earthquakes in action. The Earthquakes have been playing since 1995 and are based out of Santa Clara. They have a strong following and tend to attract fans from Salinas, Gilroy, and Watsonville. Carson is home to Chivas USA, an MLS club that once played all of its home games at the Home Depot Center.
