Fall Foliage in Vermont

For the best view of New England’s fall foliage, look no further than Vermont. Head to the charming town of Bennington, and make your way to the Bennington Battle Monument.

First constructed in the 1880s, the monument is over 300 feet tall, and allows visitors into the observation floor at the top of the structure.

Here, you have a stunning view of three states and Bennington itself. Get out your camera, because there’s no better view of the fall colors.

For more fall activities, head for the dozens of apple orchards in and around Chittenden County. The Chittenden Orchard & Cider Mill in South Burlington is a favorite spot for apple picking and Vermont maple syrup.

Established in 1865, the Chittenden Orchard is open throughout the year, and also offers apple wine, hard cider, and an onsite country bakery.
