Ride from Milwaukee to Beloit

Heading out from Milwaukee, going east and then south, this ride will be filled with sights you can’t find everywhere. As you head out from Milwaukee, jump on Interstate 94 West to Madison and count how many golf courses you pass by, on either side of the highway. They are endless ... and beautiful! Along the way you’ll cruise through many Midwestern friendly cities like historic Delafield, Johnson Creek and Sun Prairie, just outside of Madison.

Once in Madison, this ride takes you around Lake Monona and through Monona Bay, by way of Wisconsin 30 and then Washington Avenue. If you have the time, you’ll want to slow your ride down and take in the sights of this busy waterfront area before heading south on your last half of your ride. Find Interstate 39/Interstate 90 East towards Janesville and Chicago and enjoy an easy carefree ride to the finish. Less than an hour outside Madison, you’ll see Lake Koshkonong on your left and Beloit soon after on your right.

Milwaukee is a destination in itself, a great historic city On a Great Lake and a City of Festivals. Milwaukee is generally known as a city of rock ‘n roll, great beer and Harley Davidsons. But a recently revived downtown area has brought in new skyscrapers, luxury housing, fine dining and upscale nightlife, worth spending some time exploring.

But when the road calls your name, head directly west towards Madison and you will find some interesting spots along the way. One such stop would be Delafield, surrounding Nagawicka Lake.

You will enjoy the small town atmosphere of this quaint city and a variety of recreational year-round activities. Continuing west to Madison, enjoy the ambiance of midwest America as you leisurely cruise through towns like Concord and Johnson Creek.

Upon your arrival in Madison, you will notice this ride takes you around the Monona Bay area. A revitalized bay area has got folks talking and visiting. This ride around the Bay and then south out of Madison has many opportunities to stop and smell the roses.

This second part of your ride is a nice straight shot with scenery all around. A bit down the road, you’ll discover a wonderful surprise in the town of Janesville. This is a lovely place to take a moment and go back in time with a leisurely stroll through their historic home district.
