From the Oshweken Demons to the Toronto Rock

Experience the excitement of indoor lacrosse on your next trip to Ontario. From Barrie to St. Catharines to Oshawa, the Canadian Lacrosse League features some of the top teams. The Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League – which also features several US-based teams – are a top draw.

Founded in 1998, the Toronto Rock play within the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League, and were the first NLL team in Canada.

The Toronto Rock has been one of the most successful teams in the NLL, winning a haul of championships and trophies. The Rock play all home games at the Air Canada Centre. Drive in from nearby Newmarket and catch a Rock game.

Other Toronto-area teams include the Barrie Blizzard, and the Durham TurfDogs, who are based in Oshawa. Both the Blizzard and the TurfDogs play within the Canadian Lacrosse League – the Blizzard play home games at the Barrie Molson Centre, while the TurfDogs play at the GM Centre.

Enjoy exciting Blizzard games when you drive in from nearby Orillia or Midland. TurfDog games are a short drive away from Cobourg.

In southern Ontario, head for St. Catharines where you can catch a thrilling Niagara Lock Monsters game. Not far from Welland or Hamilton, the Niagara Lock Monsters play home games at the Seymour-Hannah Sports & Entertainment Centre. The Lock Monsters were originally known as the Peel Avengers and based out of Brampton. They moved in 2013.

The Oshweken Demons play in Hagersville, as do the SouthWest Cyclops. Keep the southern Ontario trek alive and experience top plays and exciting lacrosse action at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, home of both the Clyclops and Demons. Simcoe and Brantford are nearby cities which should provide the ideal destination when looking for Canadian Lacrosse League games.

The CLL starts its season in early January and plays games through the middle of March.
