Battery Park

Just one of the many iconic attractions in New York's Metro Area, Battery Park is a 25-acre must-visit site. Make your way to the southern end of Manhattan and check out this impressive park. In 1623, when the Dutch had settled in the area, they erected a series of cannons, or a battery, and thus Battery Park was born. 

While many visit Battery Park to enjoy the scenic views of the Hudson River, there is also a wide range of things to see and do here. Don't miss the Waterfront Promenade, the Peter Minuit Plaza, or the Battery Urban Farm. SeaGlass is a wonderful art museum, while the Labyrinth is a large maze.
